About the Founder

Kris, the founder of Toy Space Pte Ltd and Tap Space Pte Ltd, is no stranger to the hobby industry. With years of experience operating within the collectibles space, Kris identified several recurring problems faced by both collectors and hobby retailers.

Existing local marketplace platforms often suffer from messy categorisation, frequent lowball offers, and potential scams due to direct payment between users within the platform. At the same time, general e-commerce platforms charge high commissions and often have unclear transaction fee structures, which significantly impact the profit margins of hobby retailers.

Another common issue in the hobby market is the lack of regulation around preorders, which has led to scams and loss of trust when new or unverified sellers fail to deliver.

To address these issues, Kris founded Hobby Space, a marketplace designed specifically for the hobby community.
